Apples And Cholesterol
Does Apple Cider Vinegar Lower Cholesterol? Well, my husband’s aunt emailed us today regarding my post on Doc’s Cholesterol Levels. She said that her husband (my husband’s uncle) takes 2 tablespoons of vinegar daily to control cholesterol and it works. I have done some research on the use of apple cider vinegar and this is what I have found:
Dosage
1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water taken daily. You can also take 1-2 apple cider vinegar tablets if the taste is not tolerable. These can be found at the health food store.
The soluble fiber found in the apple cider vinegar absorbs cholesterol and fat in the body. By absorbing the cholesterol, the body is able to eliminate it. . Water-soluble fiber also adds bulk and will keep you feeling full longer. This signals to your body that you are full, and you will stop eating. By eating less, you ingest less cholesterol, which can also help in managing cholesterol levels. Apple cider vinegar also contains amino acids. The amino acids may neutralize the bad LDL cholesterol. This helps the body excrete the bad cholesterol on its own.
Treating high cholesterol without your doctors involvement is dangerous. So be sure to see your doctor before using apple cider vinegar as a supplement.
If anybody has any experience using this method to control cholesterol I would love to hear how it worked for you. Leave a comment below.
